Music and the Choir

The Willis III organ has just been totally restored by Harrison & Harrison – see http://www.harrisonorgans.com/gallery/bradford-on-avon-holy-trinity/  The two photographs show the original console and the process of dismantling the organ, which went in two articulated lorry loads to Durham.

The opening recital will be given by Peter King (http://www.peterking.org/) on Friday, 17th November at 7.30pm.  Further details are posted on the Events page.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Cooke as our new Director of Music, who started with us on Sunday, 8th October. Martin brings us a wealth of experience from his life to date both as a head teacher and as a musician.  Now he is able to indulge his passion for church music.

The choir currently practises on a Tuesday at 6.30pm and Martin is particularly keen to welcome some new members.  They sing at the 9.30am Eucharist on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays, and also at Evensong at 6pm on the 4th Sunday. Please contact Martin -   martincookeuk@me.com  if you would like any more information about the choir – or about music generally at Holy Trinity.
