Music and the Choir

The Willis III organ has just been totally restored by Harrison & Harrison – see http://www.harrisonorgans.com/gallery/bradford-on-avon-holy-trinity/  The two photographs show the original console and the process of dismantling the organ, which went in two articulated lorry loads to Durham.

The opening recital will be given by Peter King (http://www.peterking.org/) on Friday, 17 November at 7.30pm.  Further details will be posted on the Events page when we have them.

We await the appointment of a new Director of Music (full details will be posted as soon as we have them), but meanwhile we are grateful to the Ven Ian Stanes who has been very enthusiastically acting as our interim Director of Music.  The choir practises on a Tuesday at 6.30pm and always welcomes new members.  They sing at the 9.30am Eucharist on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays, and also at Evensong at 6pm on the 4th Sunday.  Please contact Ian istanes@btinternet.com if you would like any more information about the choir.
